Biography
Hi, I’m Barbara – a self-taught photographer and outdoor enthusiast based in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina. Over the years, I’ve delved into various genres, including product photography, portraiture, and real estate but my true passion lies in landscape, nature, and astrophotography. Whether trekking through North Carolina’s woods and mountains, exploring city streets, or marveling at the night sky, my photography is driven by a deep love for discovery and adventure. I also like to capture subjects that simply catch my eye along the way.
My work has earned awards, been exhibited in the Carolinas, and featured in local publications.
I am member of Photographic Society of America, Mooresville Arts, Carolina Nature Photographers, Charlotte Camera Club, and I'm a former member of the Charleston Artist Guild.

Natural Landscapes - I am drawn to the beauty of natural vistas, from misty mountain ranges to serene shorelines.
Nature's Creatures - The captivating world of animals or birds is a source of inspiration for me. Whether I'm capturing the raw power of predators, the gentle nature of domesticated animals, or a bird sharing a song, my goal is to reveal the unique spirit of each creature.
The Night Sky - The awe-inspiring greatness of the cosmos holds a special place in my heart as it serves as a reminder of my place in the universe.
Urban, Close-up, or Abstract - I also enjoy capturing stories waiting to be told in a city or old structures, showing the intricacy of a flower or just creating and using unconventional techniques.
At the end of the day, my portfolio is diverse, as my photography is an ongoing exploration of the world's infinite wonders.
